The Trimmed Steed specializes in natural hoof care through professional barefoot trimming. My approach focuses on supporting the horse’s natural hoof function and overall biomechanics, promoting soundness, comfort, and long-term health.
The equine hoof is a dynamic structure designed to expand, contract, and absorb shock with every step. When trimmed to mimic natural wear, the hoof can function as nature intended—improving circulation, enhancing traction, and supporting healthy movement.
Using a gentle, informed approach, I tailor each trim to your horse’s individual conformation, lifestyle, and hoof condition. Whether your horse is in full work, retired, or transitioning from shoes, I work in partnership with owners to maintain balance, strength, and soundness from the ground up.
